Eastern White Cedar Grades

Clear Grade
Clear cedar offers an appearance with minimal to no knots. This grade is ideal for projects where a clean, finished look is important. Clear cedar highlights the natural grain and colour of the wood.
Select / Premium Grade
Select cedar contains small, tight knots that add natural character while maintaining a consistent appearance. It is well-suited for visible applications like fencing, paneling, Saunas, and siding where both appearance and durability matter.
Standard Grade
Standard grade cedar includes more visible knots and natural characteristics. This grade is commonly used for fencing, decking, and Sidings.
Utility / Rustic Grade
Utility or rustic cedar features larger knots, colour variation, and natural imperfections. It is a cost-effective option for functional projects, landscaping, and applications where a more natural or rustic look is desired.
